The Outstanding Performance of ExOs

In 2014, in the original Exponential Organizations, we listed the top 100 companies that used the ExO model the most. Listed below are the top 10 from that overall list and how they’ve done since 2014.

For the top 10 ExOs, the average increase in market cap (where fully measurable) was 990% (9.9x) over eight years. The S&P companies grew an average of 2.5x over that same time. In other words, our top 10 ExOs outperformed the S&P by about four times. This is consistent with the results we saw measuring the Fortune 100.

In general, organizations fully applying the ExO Model outperform those that don’t use the attributes by a multiple of about 4x.
