What is an ExO - Conclusion

For his book Reinventing Organizations, author Frederic Laloux researched those rare organizations around the world that have thrown away the traditional top-down organizational structure and created organizations of distributed intelligence and distributed power. Essentially, he’s describing ExOs. These companies were located all around the world, across multiple industries, and many have been in operation for decades in very tough markets. Yet they outperform the competition every time. They did it, and so can you.

Every reader of this book—whether you are a long-time follower of ExO theory or you are just learning about it for the first time—has the potential to learn its lessons, implement its tools and join the ranks of those wildly successful firms. No matter how old or hidebound or traditional your enterprise, the door is still open to transform yourself into a fast-moving, world-changing, Exponential Organization.
