Requirements and Prerequisites for Interfaces

Interface requirements and prerequisites include:

• Standardized processes: An organization must have prescriptive and standardized processes to allow automation. This means clear agreement inside the ExO about what aspects are to be scaled.

• Scalable externalities: Automation via Interfaces assumes that the ExO has an abundance of data to automate. Implementing one or more of the SCALE attributes is critical to deliver that abundance.

• AI and Algorithms (in most cases) Effective Interfaces, backed by Algorithms, allow the ExO to manage interactions with clients, Crowd, and Community in a scalable but personalized manner.

• Experimentation: In an ideal world, Interfaces are designed with the capability to run experiments. Experimentation allows an ExO to iterate and improve on its Interfaces to find the best way to meet customers’ needs.
