Lesson 16. Transformation of the C-Suite

Two transformations will occur for every C-suite that aspires to be an ExO (which means all companies). 

COO > CXO. The rise of Autonomy will mean a reduced role for the operational aspects of a company and its COO. The role of the COO will transform into the CXO, or Chief Exponential Officer. She will be charged with relentlessly implementing all Exponential attributes. 

Chief AI Officer. As we mentioned in the AI and Algorithms chapter, every ExO will need a Chief AI Officer in charge of monitoring the latest emerging companies, apps, and AI strategies, and determining which are of the greatest value to different parts of the company. The Chief AI Officer builds partnerships, acquired licenses, and trains employees. She also advises on how and where to flow in AI at every level of the ExO.
